Watsons Building Services were awarded the contract to design and install the mechanical services installations at a new warehouse and training centre development in Harrogate.
The building consists of warehousing space for storage and packaging along with three storeys of offices and training facilities.
The services include high efficiency gas fired heating to the warehouse areas working in conjunction with de-stratification fans.
The warehouse was naturally ventilated via automatic roof ventilators.
The flam store area was mechanically ventilated via bifurcated extract fans with make-up air provided via louvres.
The training centre and offices were heated and cooled by a number of VRF comfort air conditioning systems working in conjunction with mechanical heat recovery ventilation installations.
Circulation areas were heated by a high efficiency gas fired boiler plant serving a number of radiators.
Other services included public health, mechanical extract ventilation and a Trend Building Management System.
The project was completed on time and within budget.

Watsons Building Services were appointed to install the mechanical & electrical services installations at a technical lubricants plant in Leeds.
The works comprised of a fully functioning fully automated Steam boiler plant to provide and generate steam from two boilers (Gas and Oil) to the site wide process plant within a purposely constructed energy centre which included hot boxes to be maintained at varying temperatures between 40 and 120°C keeping a constant level of accuracy individually controlled.
All controls were fully integrated through a bespoke boiler panel and incorporated within the new Building Management System all linked into the office IT hub for immediate monitoring of daily consumptions and energy consumption and incorporating fully integrated alarm notifications.
The electrical services comprised of new LV mains distribution and boards, internal and external lighting, fire alarm installation and wiring of the mechanical services plant.

Watsons Building Services were appointed to design and install the mechanical services installations at a new 42,000ft² extension to a machine manufacturing plant in Keighley, West Yorkshire.
Mechanical services included gas fired radiant heating to the production area along with mechanical ventilation and a number of compressed air and CAT 5 water supplies to work stations.
The service building area is heated by a mixture of underfloor heating and radiators generated from a gas fired boiler plant. The boiler plant also generates the domestic hot water for the wash rooms and shower/toilet areas.
Sanitaryware, above ground drainage and mechanical heat recovery ventilation are also installed to a number of office areas, shower, toilet and changing areas.

Watsons Building Services carried out the mechanical & electrical Services installations at a new 13,000ft² Industrial Unit in Elland, West Yorkshire.
Mechanical services included VRF heating and cooling on three floors of office accommodation along with an air to water air source heat pump to generating heating to ancillary areas and the domestic hot water. Sanitaryware, above ground drainage and mechanical ventilation were also installed to a number of toilet and kitchen areas.
Electical services included hi frequency lighting, small power and data throughout the office areas. Services in the production area consisted of industrial high bay lighting, electrical supply to a crane and a number of power, data, compressed air and Fluid Category 5 water supplies.

The contract included gas fired heating, lighting and power to the warehouse-production area. Power was also installed to serve the mechanical handling systems. Services to office areas included LTHW heating, solar hot water, mechanical ventilation, lighting, power & data.

Watsons Building Services carried out the mechanical & electrical services installations at a new Manufacturing Plant in Ulverston, Cumbria.
The contract included VRF heating and cooling, solar hot water and rainwater harvesting for WC flushing to the offices. Cooling was provided to the production area, gas fired heating to core areas and close control air conditioning to a clean room. The solar hot water and rainwater harvesting systems also supplied the process systems. Electrical installations included lighting, power & data to office and production areas. Services to test bays included power, safety interlocks and compressed air.
The building has achieved BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.
