Watsons Building Services Ltd were appointed to carry out the design and installation of the steam and gas pipework services.
A new purpose built plantroom was constructed to house the new boiler plant away from the main building to create a modern standalone generator plant, hot well and blowdown system controlled via a unique bespoke control panel delivering high efficiency and reliability.
A new gas main was installed above ground from the existing supply routing along existing buildings and new purpose made gantry’s to serve the new boiler where it is then boosted to serve the requirements of the boiler.
New steam and condensate services were installed from the new plantroom and through to the existing building within the old services chambers below the existing building to a new header and re-connected to the existing supplies.
On completion of testing, all services were insulated with mineral wool sections, BCO foil faced and enclosed in pre-rolled plain aluminium.
The complete works were carried out during the normal operational hours of the brewery and by working closely with the client to minimise any disruption and without turning off the existing plant which enabled the client to continue with their manufacturing unhindered.

Watsons Building Services carried out the process pipework and instrumentation installation to form a fully functional pumped white spirit offloading and process transfer delivery system for an international paint manufacturer in Blackburn, Lancashire.
The contract included the modifications to two large existing stainless steel storage vessels with welded stainless steel process pipework installation. The storage vessels incorporated load cell technology for the controls and instrumentation installation along with air actuated control valves.
The works also included fire alarm integration and lightning protection. The works are classed as an hazardous area installation therefore all equipment and installation methodology is certified to Atex Zone II classification.

Watsons Building Services carried out the complete building services package at the Altham site which manufactures flexible reinforcement materials.
The project involved de-canting plant from an existing building on the site including all the associated services and building works, transporting and re-building same within the new building and extension housing the new thermal oil plant.
New services to the plant included steam fired process heating, thermal oil process heating, hot water, mains water and de-ionised water. Boiler flues and process plant ventilation, electrical power & containment to all automated equipment, lighting and automatic controls completed the multitude of services.

Watsons Building Services carried out the mechanical & electrical Services fit out contract at a new Production Warehouse in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
The contract included gas fired heating, process services including hot water, mains water and de-ionised water, electrical power to all automated equipment, lighting, automatic controls.

Watsons Building Services carried out a steam boiler plant replacement at a Dyeing Company in Keighley, West Yorkshire.
The contract included removal of the existing steam boiler plant and installation of a new high efficiency steam boiler complete with associated controls to serve the dyeing machines and space heaters.
