Turnkey Building Services for a Sixth-Form Centre Construction Project

The project involved the demolition of an existing workshop building and the subsequent construction of a modern, two-story Sixth Form Centre, accompanied by comprehensive external works. The new building achieved an A rating EPC due to the installation of highly efficient building services and the modern building fabric. The project included a full design and installation of mechanical and electrical services utilising the school's existing utilities infrastructure.

Notably, an all-electric HVAC strategy employing VRF comfort air conditioning and innovative heat recovery ventilation with CO2 control was installed to ensure optimal comfort and air quality while significantly reducing energy consumption. Prioritising sustainability, the project encompassed various public health initiatives such as water conservation measures and high-efficacy internal and external LED lighting equipped with advanced control systems, such as motion sensors and automatic switching.

Working in conjunction with the school's IT Network Manager and FF&E contractor, further services including electrical mains distribution, small power, lightning protection, fire alarm installations and IT cabling were provided.
