Refurbishment of Grade II Listed Church and Church House in Ilkley

Watsons Building Services Ltd undertook a significant role in the revitalization of the Grade II Listed Church and Church House in Ilkley. Entrusted with the design and installation of mechanical and electrical services, the project encompassed the creation of a new glazed link corridor serving as the church's welcoming entrance and versatile exhibition space. Notably, a modern commercial kitchen, meeting area, and restroom facilities were integrated into the Church House.

Project Scope

Below is a non-exhaustive list of services installed in full coordination with other contractors.

  • New boiler plant, BMS controls, underfloor heating, and ventilation.
  • Underfloor heating, radiators, and coils added.
  • Church House heated separately with a boiler plant.
  • Lighting, power, IT, fire and intruder alarms, and interpretive lighting.
  • Concealed installation in harmony with Grade II listed building features.
  • Dimmable LED lighting with scene-setting controls.

Project Outcomes

The project was completed on time and within budget in strict coordination with the main contractor and the client’s requirements for services to be live for set dates.
