Our Senior Mechanical Design Project Engineer, Paul, has over 30 years of experience as a project engineer, achieving his ONC and HNC in Building Services in 2000, and celebrated 10 years at Watsons this past September.

What do you enjoy most about your role at Watsons?
I love the diversity of projects we are involved with, whether it’s a church heating install, a data centre cooling system, or a hospital refurbishment. No two are the same!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Aside from watching Bradford City, my free time is spent between finishing our self-build house, seeing live entertainment and travelling.

What’s the best meal you’ve ever had?
I’ve had some great fresh seafood meals on holidays in Greece, Spain and Turkey.

You’re stranded on a deserted island with only your favourite film, TV show and music to keep you entertained. What are they?
It would have to be The Godfather. The Gentlemen is a very entertaining watch. I have varied musical tastes, including 90s Britpop, Nu Metal, and even Country. I saw Oasis live this summer at Heaton Park.

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?
We’ve always fancied a long trip around the Far East, with Japan high on the list. It looks to have some of the greatest scenery and best food in the world!

Which of your colleagues do you think is the best-dressed?
I’d have to say Neil Marsden. His style is second to none.

Tell us something about yourself that your colleagues don’t know?
I’m co-owner of Tulip Holiday Cottage in Haworth, which takes some looking after!
