Upgraded heating system including new gas boilers and panel radiators, resulting in more efficient and cost-effective heating

Heating Infrastructure Upgrade for a School in West Yorkshire

Having previously completed a successful boiler refurbishment for this school in West Yorkshire, Watson Building Services were appointed as the principal contractor for a new heating distribution infrastructure refurbishment project, undertaking mechanical and BMS services for the new system.

The old school heating system included inefficient cast iron radiators, which were replaced with new, energy-efficient panel versions. Pipework was installed and boxed in along with other building works, including plastering and painting.A specialist contractor was engaged to safely remove asbestos.

The previous heating system ran constantly with control via local TRVs, wasting a significant amount of heat. We implemented a Building Management System, using sensors in each zone to provide independent temperature control and save critical funds through reduced gas usage.
